This base is virtually identical to our best-selling base — the regular dark yak we’ve offered for years. This one is just a bit thicker. After cashmere, this yak base is the softest we carry and it’s perfect for people allergic to sheep wool, since it contains no sheep wool and therefore no lanolin, which is often the cause of reactions. This version is somewhat lighter in weight and doesn’t drape as heavily as the other base. It’s ideal for sweaters, very easy to work with, and gives a lovely, even result.
