Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently clipped, so no mink are killed! The fibers are very soft but very short, so they are often spun together with other fibers to prevent the yarn breaking when knitted. It can be knit with a single strand to make a lovely shawl or with two strands to make a cozy sweater. There isn't much mink yarn on the market, so you get a truly unique product here, which is also hand-dyed - win win......
