Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently sheared, so no mink are killed! The fibers are very soft but very short, so they are often spun together with other fibers to make a yarn that won’t break when knitted. It can be knit as a single strand into a luxurious shawl or held double to make a lovely sweater. There isn’t much mink yarn on the market, so you get a truly unique product here, which is also hand-dyed - win win......
