Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently clipped, so no mink are killed! The fibers are very soft but very short, so they are often spun together with other fibers to prevent the yarn from breaking while knitting. It can be knitted with a single strand to make a lovely shawl or with two strands to become a cozy sweater. There isn't much mink yarn on the market, so you get a truly unique product here, which is also hand-dyed - win win......
